Are Women Pastors or Elders according to scripture?

The biblical teaching supporting women to be pastors or elders has come into much debate today. If only supporting men to be pastors and elders in the church, has God made less the role of the women and create a position on the part of the woman as a person with none equality in the church. Are we in a period of the church when it is popular for women to lead ministry as a pastor or elder? When we listen to many feminist organizations as they denounce any resistance to any leadership position held by women as old fashions, antiquated and chauvinistic. Many of our New Testament churches have not adopted any view or answered this question for fear of what may be the ‘politically correct’ answer or what may be accepted by the social standard of today. There are group of churches that does not disturb women pastors and elders in the church. But the question remains, is women pastor and elders scriptural or biblical?
